Meet Jabari Wadlington
Originally from Los Angeles, California, Executive Chef Jabari Wadlington left his career in pursing an aeronautical engineering degree from Tuskegee University after being lured into the culinary world. He had always had a passion for the industry and for food, which was recognized at an early age. Jabari went on to study culinary arts at Johnson and Wales, where he learned to develop his own unique style and flair. He continued his career at Virginia restaurants and hotels such as, Goodstone Inn Luxury Hotel, The Wine Kitchen, and Travinia Italian Kitchen.
Jabari has worked under influential leaders like Chef Tom Wolfe in New Orleans and Virginia’s own award winning chef Tarver King, who came from the Fat Duck in England and The Inn at Little Washington, VA.
Jabari’s culinary philosophy and passion reflects the growing trend towards a healthier and down-to-earth lifestyle. Working with fresh, simple ingredients and supporting local farmers and vendors is the essence of his cuisine. Chef Wadlington has always wanted to let the food express itself and let the ingredients shine through both traditional and trendy techniques.
